Intending to buy a shotgun for both bird hunting and to hunt deer in a shotgun only area, I had pretty much decided on the Benelli Super Nova. I planned to put a red dot sight on it for deer.

However, only the tacticool models come drilled and tapped for a scope, and they don't come with choke options. Bummer.

Am considering a saddle mount. It is a sleeve that fits over the action and has a rail scope base above the receiver. Anybody have any experience with these?

Other scope/red dot mounting options for a Super Nova?

do they have a model aimed for turkey hunters that may be D&T?

I ask because I like Franchis and now that seems to be a default feature for them.

I treat shotguns like golf clubs so you are allowed a whole bag full if you can't meet your needs with one.
