Specifically for a model B fox. First shotgun the old man gave me, 20 gauge. Anyhow the right barrel doesn't go off but the second round does. Who's a good Smith for this kinda thing? Hank gave me a guy down Georgia but I'd like to see if there's anyone else that specializes in doubles. Thanks in advance

Its basically a Stevens 311 so any halfway competent gunsmith should be able to get it up and running. If one is the least bit handy, they could figure out the problem and replace parts as needed themselves. Numrich Arms is typically the first place I look for parts for these utilitarian guns.

What I'm getting at is your shotgun is a simple one to fix and there is no need to find some sort of "specialist" to fix it. Take it to a 'smith that is local and has a good reputation. He should be able to fix it for what it would cost to ship the gun one way to some "specialist". You then save the second shipping charge, the higher rate for a "specialist" and the risk of loss or damage as it goes through the various hands of whatever shipping carrier you choose.
Darlington Gun Works in SC has a good reputation. I had an old Ithaca Flues worked on there several years ago and was well satisfied. They work on high end stuff as well.
A Fox Model B is a Savage 311 wearing lipstick. It is a common, very basic, fairly rugged, reliable action that is easy to work on. It is a staple in the Gunsmithing school in my area as the guns are cheap and easy to find. I "lost" most of the 311s I've owned in trades to these students as they needed something to work one.
An A.H. Fox Grade B is a horse of a different color and is the polar opposite of a Fox Model B. For one of these a higher grade of gunsmith would be preferred. The only similarity between the A.H. Fox and the Savage/Fox is the name.

Heard a lot of good things about Darlington gun works.....noticed they had a new building....so I popped in one day as I pass by it every so often......lotta gray hair and bifocals behind that counter....no doubt those fellas have fixed a lot of problems. Thought I was gonna be able to see a show room with a lot of guns on racks.....nope....theres a few pieces on the wall behind the counter in a small lobby. The building is apparently all shop.
