Sorry I omitted model # in regard to previous post about Simmons restoration

I heard they got sold to someone else. Guess the kids were not interested in staying in the family business. Also, a question. Why refinish it? It will lower its value no matter what the condition is unless it only has shooter value.

It's already been re blued and not great.
I don't know about restoration, but Simmons used to reblue when installing a rib, and I always thought their blue work was not all that great. For a finish that looks original, I would send it to Bobby Tyler in Friona if he has capacity to take new work.

While I have not seen it yet but he just re-colored and fit a recoil pad on a SxS shotgun of mine. His prices are high as is his quality.

Depends on your commitment to restoration. If one desires an as close to how it left the factory restoration, then few will equal Turnbull.

Turnbull is the absolute best in this restoration. They are not cheap, but well worth every penny.
