I’ve had my Maxus for a little over a year now. This season is the first that it’s seen a lot of use and I’ve had some issues in my past 2 or 3 hunts.
It’s having trouble cycling the 2nd and 3rd shells. I have no issues with ejection or extraction. I’ve checked the piston spring and it’s fine. I clean my gun after every single hunt so I know that the issue is not that it’s too dirty.
I believe my issue may be with the lifter. When I look underneath the receiver the lifter arm is all the way against the inside wall of the receiver. When I look inside the receiver close to where the shell loads I can see something that looks like a wear mark from the lifter arm.
It will cycle fine until I fire 10 shells or more and then it really slows down and starts to hang. Has anyone else experienced anything like this in your Maxus?

I would try different ammo first if you haven't tried it already. If you are still having problems then it's a trip to the gunsmith. Good luck.
