So, last weekend I decided to try and mount my new scope to my Mark V to start getting ready for hunting season and ran into an issue. I had been using some Talley mounts with my Meostar 3-10x50mm which were fine, but when I set the Leica 2.4-16x56 in them I saw that they were the smallest bit too short (I'm talking maybe 1/4" tops). The edges of the bases were just starting to encroach on the bell and ocular ends of the tube and the scope didnt really sit flush in the bases; I definitely didn't want to put tighten the bases down and possibly damage the scope!

I took some measurements and found the outside edge to edge distance of my Talley bases to be right at 5.5in, and the usable tube length looks to be about 5 and 3/8 to 5 and 7/16 inches. The official dimension from Leica's website lists a 140mm (5.51in) tube length for the 56mm model which should be just a hair longer than the talleys and what I went with when I ordered the scope, but that's the newer generation with the illuminated reticle so I guess there was a small change.

Have any of you guys run this Mark V/ Magnus combination and know of a mount that will work? Or do you have any mount recommendations in general that would fit this setup?
I've got that exact scope. But its on a CZ 550 Sonoran. I used Alaska Arms rings and QD base which doesn't help you at all. Have you tried Leupold or Burris bases and look for extended high front rings?
Ran into the same issue with my Visus on a Mark V . I used Warne bases and Burris Signature Zee rings. Happy Trails
