Ok guys what’s your take on the best bang for the buck in the Big Eyes dept?
I’m especially interested in input from guys that have actually owned more than one brand and can provide first hand experiences from actually owning them
Thanks
Meopta first, Maven second....
I had some older 15X Swaros. This year I am running 12.5X Tract. My spotter goes down to 15X and I felt the wider FOV would be beneficial. The Tracts rock.
Overall the Meopta Meostar offers the finest quality short of the Swarovski SLC's

That is what I run and sitting side by side with my buddies Swarovski I cannot tell adifference. YMMV
Doug, where do Athlon Cronus 15x56 fit in the mix?

They are a good solid binocular far exceeding their price point but not in the same league as a Meopta Meostar
I bought the cheap vultures before upgrading to meotpa 15's. Not a bad deal if want to see if a 15 x is for you.

Be real aware that the large ocular variable ring on Meoptas may interfere with your bolt travel.

Minox 15X58 ED "Big Eyes" binoculars listed in the classifieds? I have not used them personally, but remember the reviews were quite good?
The German-made Minox are very good optically. Just sold a pair for $450 or so. 15 x 58. These can be found on eBay.
Best bet is the Swaro SLC. Buy a used pair, and they'll still be worth about what you paid even years later. Plus you get to enjoy them while you own them!

I agree, I Love my 15X56 SLC's. I have seen a few used but even if you have to buy new still worth the price IMO
If you're gonna spend over a grand on big eyes, the Meopta HD's are indeed optically better then the non-HD Swaro's. No doubt....

And if you're buying for resale, you prolly don't need/want big eyes anyway....

When I compared my Minox 15X58 with Swaro 15X56 I gave the Swaro a 100 to start somewhere. I gave the Minox a 97. It was that close.
