Hi folks, I recently purchased a pair of used Nikon Rimfire Prostaff scopes from an individual ,one has superb glass The second for lack of a better word just isn’t as bright and the crosshairs seem very light ,also need to move your eye quite a ways back to get a complete full view , The seller is defending it like there’s nothing wrong with it ,more correctly nothing is right with it . Is Nikon still doing repairs?

Doubtful, last I heard they were largely offering store credit...but they no longer make scopes of any kind.

As for the scopes themselves, you bought cheap scopes, and they are doing cheap scope things. Even in there heyday, Nikon wasn't going to repair a Prostaff, they would have thrown another bargain scope at you as a replacement.

They are both pro staff’s the one has phenomenal glass the other one is a joke
