Ok not a big expert on binoculars at all, so take my enthusiasm with a grain of salt i guess.

So Doug from cameraland starts the thread here on his 199.00 and under sale.

On impulse yesterday i ordered the Athalon Argos 8x42 for 99.00 plus 9 dollars and change shipping.

They are here already and I have found my new favorite inexpensive binocular!

Thanks Doug and the folks at Cameraland!

I was a big fan of the Yosemite 6x35 and wished i could find another binocular that was inexpensive but had brightness and clarity.

I found it.
Oh and the specs said focus down to 13 feet, mine focus nice at 8 to 9 feet.
