I ordered a pair of these just to have some beater binoculars. They compare very favorably to some older Nikon Action 10x50s and a newer pair of Steiner 10-x30s. For 99 bucks it's hard to go wrong. Chinese manufacture of course.I don't know how much more you'd have to spend to get something not made in China.

PB,

Not to shat on your bargain bins, but, I once had these, or very similar bins that I used for kids to learn on. They sucked !

That is all.

I did a side by side comparison between the subject Leupolds and these, and I couldn't detect a difference. https://www.steiner-optics.com/binoculars/xc-10x32

I’m sure there’s been some improvements since.

Midway recently had the Burris droptine 10x42’s on sale for $150. That’s a real good bino for the money.

My first binocs were monarch 3 10x42 and I’ve seen them in 150 range. After 13? Years they are still solid And IMO for the money they are hard to beat

If they are the binocular equivalent of Droptine scopes, that would be a great value.

I have bought and recommended tha Active Extremes to budget mind, non optics loonies. They can be had in a 7x35 FMC which is a size I sorely miss and fairly rugged. Damn fine for the price and I often kick around the idea of grabbing me a pair to have just cuz.

I am also very much interested in the Burris Signature binos and would lean heavily that way if my current bins go tits-up. Burris stuff replaced Weaver as my bang for buck scope champion.

I took the leap. Reviews look pretty good.

That Ares looks like a dead ringer for the defunct Zen Ray ED, which had fantastic glass.
