I was wondering if anyone has anything to say about the Leica Duovid Binos, 10+15x60. Are the multiple magnification options really worth it or do they compromise some quality in the overall product. Has anyone carried these around the hills at all? Are they too heavy for general carrying.

Had the 8-12 x42. Version loved everything about them except the weight, I bet the 50s are really heavy.

I had a pair of 10+15x50 for many years. I went that route as it was lighter and more compact that carrying both 10x and 15x binos for Coues hunting. In a side by side comparison, three of us were split at to preferring the Duovids at 15x vs the Swaro SLC 15x56.

I had both the 8-12 and the 10-15 and eventually sold the 8-12. I love them for spring bear hunting in open terrain
