Doug,

What is your opinion of Hawke VANTAGE rifle scopes in terms of quality of glass/resolutuon, durability, holding zero, tracking etc?
The Vantage scopes have proven to be very reliable and dependable. In their price class I feel they are a great option
I bought a Hawke Airmax 4-12X AO for a spring airgun I have. It's on a Diana zero recoil mount. I'm pretty impressed with Hawke Scopes. Glass is great, etched reticles, distinctive click adjustments. Moreover, it holds zero on my springer and I'm pushing 1,000 round through it since replacing a Burris that was on it that would loose zero after 15-25 shots.
