How many rounds of HAND loaded ammunition do yall keep on hand for a particular hunting rifle?
I'm talking about once the barrel is broke in and you get a load dialed in and all other experimentation is done. How many do yall keep on hand for your #1 go to hunting rifle?
Back when primers and powder were plentiful, I would purchase 1000 primers and 4 lbs of power for each rifle I owned. Each time I loaded for that rifle, I lloaded 50 rounds at the time.
For me, it is not a question of how many rounds I have on hand. It is a question of "can I reproduce the same recipe" any time I wish?
Purchasing in bulk is the answer. If I am using the same Case Lot of primer and powder, I should in theory, get the same results along any timeline.
Another advantage to this approach is the fact that I don't have to re-zero my scope every year. Unless I beat it against the truck, the rifle will hit minute of deer now or five years from now. The recipe will be the same because I am using the same case lot of primers and powder.

The same thread was started in the gunwriter's forum here, a couple weeks ago. This is actually the optics forum. Also, a lot of these guys (me included) don't have a "#1 go to hunting rifle"... We have multiple "go to" hunting rifles. That's what makes this place go round..

Ah, no matter, he's just getting the obligatory post count high 'nuff to start scamming in the Classified forum.

Hopefully not. I heard there is a lot of that crap going on lately. I just sold some bullets earlier and everything went well. First time I've bought or sold there in a couple years. The classifieds used to be a great addition to this site.. Now I noticed Rick has all kinds of warnings and such..

2500 223 FMJ SHTF ammo. Other than that not much. I make them as I go. Need to because for me loaded ammo is like a line of coke to a drug addict.

Click on his name, then number of posts. They are still there. Rick hasn’t emptied the trash yet.
Common Buddies why are you guys capping [bleep]
Just because i am posting threads doesn't means i am looking for a way to get through the classified section.
If i was really interested in scamming, i would have replied to tons of classified adds and buddies would have pm me asking for details.
You can't just assume a fellow to be a scammer except if he is caught in action.
Thanks and have a nice Holiday.

Hopefully you are not. There has been a lot of crap going on over there in the classifieds. I have stayed away from there for a couple years because of some of the horror stories. It used to be well "policed" over there but it seems like there are a lot of new members there that some of us refer to as "classifieds cowboys" because that is all they do: Post things in the classifieds. We don't know a lot about them because they never post in the real threads and forums here. At least you posted in one of the forums, albeit the wrong one for the question at hand...Trust me though, if you are a scammer you won't last very long here..
