Probably been discussed before, but I’m interested in a very good scope to go on a 25-06. Early morning and last light capabilities a must. Want it keep the price under $2,000.
How do the top of the line Meopta scopes compare to the “alpha class” scopes?
Thanks for any input.
A little dated, but still applicable. The Meopta S2 is superb, and competes with anything made, period. I had one side by side with my Kowa 883 and kept the S2, FWIW.

If I had a budget of $2000, I’d get a S&B Klassik.
I'm a dumbassssss.......missed the rifle scope part.

They’re still damn good glass. The R1 and R2 is everything I’ve ever seen from the other big guys.
Agree with you beretz, 100%.
The Meostar line is at or near the top of the heap.

It will certainly be more then enough for 1/2 or 1 hour after sunset hunting.
I have a MeoPro and the old Zeiss Conquest 3-9x40 (Meopta too I believe). They both shock me for low light clarity.
My eye sight is a such that I really don't notice any difference in a $50 Tasco and a $3,000 scope of any brand...

Developing some cataract issues?
My two Meopta R1 scopes don't give up much of anything to my S&B Klassic 6x42.
All three will allow me to place rounds on target accurately well after legal shooting light.
