Anyone have one of these and use it on a hunting rifle?

Do you like it?

Can you see the reticle in dark timber with the illumination?

Where and what do you hunt with it?
I bought one a month or so ago and since the barrel for the rifle I bought it for hasn't come yet I mounted it on a .22 rimfire to play with. So far the tracking is spot on, but you already knew that. I haven't had it in dark timber yet but shooting into the edge of the woods near sunset or just after hasn't proved a problem. It's not the fastest reticle to pick up but I've had no problems picking off a couple of starlings. I've also (with the rifle unloaded) used it to aim at a couple of deer when just about dark and had no problems picking and aiming point. More testing needs to be done, but so far so good.

Maybe not the kind of in depth answer your looking for but it's all I can provide so far.
Dave,
What kind of reticle coverage are we talking.
I thought the Arkens had fine ones?

Dave
I don't remember what size the center dot actually is, I'd have to look it up on their website. It is very small as it will fit inside a .22 bullet hole and in some situations the illumination is definitely needed. I've had no problems picking a aiming point on a deer in bright daylight or right at dark though to around 100 yards. Haven't tried it further than that as I haven't had the opportunity. The illuminated portion of the crosshair surrounding the center dot catches my eye and although fine, they are course enough to leave no doubt about where I'm aiming.

I hope that makes sense.
