That was definitely one of NF's better reticles for hunting. But like Zeiss ditching the #4, all we can do is wonder why. A Zeiss tech once told me the #4 was one of their top sellers and that they also had many scopes sent in over the years to be swapped out to a #4. But it's all water under the bridge at this point, so to speak.
Years ago, I worked with the Kleenex brand a lot. When they picked designs for Kleenex boxes, they did so via focus groups. And when they tallied the results, the brand would dismiss the top ranking and the lowest ranking, opting for the middle choices. I can only assume some of these optic companies are doing the same - less SKU's but a good middle? Seems curious to me, but if there's a company that shows less interest in what the captive audience thinks, it's Nightforce. Still, I'm a big fan of some of their products but more so in a couple of their discontinued products - but I'm getting to be an old head.
