Sweet!
.5 MOA = Teats on a Boar Hog to me. Looks pretty cool.
Steelhead,
What image plane is the reticle located in?
Nice looking scope.

I don't know....the box it came in says it's "perishable" and you have to keep it "refirgerated". Too finicky for my tastes....
grin
You find the .5 MOA adjustments fine enough?

John
Don't know, just got it. If I don't like it on the 223AI it will go on a bigger big game gun....
Nice glass Steely
But if strata lines and B-plex works for folks, can't imagine an xtra .25moa being a problem...
I ran one on my 300 ultra, I regularly shot clay piegons at 6-700 yds. I thought the .5 would be a hinderance, but the smallest thing I shoot is squirrels so it was fine. I pulled some of my longest hit ever on coyotes with the leupold m3 which is also .5moa. I can honestly say I have killed song dogs at ranges of yards with a comma in them....more than once.

for a paper pounder there are better choices, for game getter....go for it.
speaking of scopes you might like, its loud and it's a leuy

SH, I think you would be much happier with a Tasco. grin grin

yessir. It was a limited run from leupold according to one of my gun guys.
Even if you discount the turrets, it seems like a great improvement to the overall design of the VX-II models, if only for the new power selector ring ...

I just wish it were 1/4MOA adjustments ...
I'm wanting to pick up one of those in the "Hunter" configuration (elev turret only), but they're not out just yet dammit. Was hoping to pick one up before deer season and give it a run on my M77. For my .270, for deer, antelope, and elk, the .5 moa should do just fine.
Good lookin' scope, SH. I bet you like it fine.

Why not try it on that new Tikka?

.... grin

DJ
I was thinking A-bolt...
Only if it has the BOSS...

DJ
And a Sims Barrel De-Resonator....
Looks like a repackaged Bushnell to me grin

HBB
You know, you ain't half wrong. I could live without that power selector ring, but what the hell...
Mounted in Optilocks...Highs of course...

I like it looks sharp. That VX 2 is a heck of a good scope.

God, I hope Leupold hasn't started outsourcing their stuff.

HBB
No, they ain't. It's the caps that give it that look.

If I don't get beat up first....
Your pards wouldn't do you that way just for carrying that rifle...but some stranger sure might try to whup you and take your lunch money. Be careful...

DJ
If you say so, I know I would hit them with a shovel.
Hmmmm...Be really careful...

Does that happen before or after they end up in the crab pot?
.5MOA..kinda rough adjustment
I doubt it will keep me from hitting a clay bird at 500 yards...
Oughta work fine.

Glass ain't but part of the equation.... and the fella behind the trigger counts for most.

I'd put my money on that one to put meat in the freezer, accordingly.

Quite a few snipers (real world operators) use .5 MOA elevation adjustments - it allows you to get from 100 to 1000 in a hurry.

They can pop heads at 1000. I don't think to .5 moa will make any differnce in Steely's ability to hit what he's aiming at.
Never said it would make a difference in what he's "steely" aiming/hitting at..just a rough adjustment

I think Steely could put meat in the freezer with a sharp stick, like a few of those AK boys could.
Drool ! I wish I could get that on a 6X42. Looks so good, I might consider buying one, and just leaving it on 6X. E
Cool scope. Its a Leupold so I'm sure it will work fine. After you use it for awile let us know if you think 1/2 MOA clicks is good enough.

Jamie
Soon as the rifle gets here I'll be running it.

Got your Crown box ready?
Steel, let me know how it works. I was looking at that or the 3.5x10 for a 223AI Mickey is doing for me. I don't think the .5 makes a big difference for my uses. Where did you get it from? thanks.
Nice looking and right sized package.........at long range the .5MOA adjustment will work just fine & faster too.

MM
Nice having 30 moa in one revolution.
How you liking the scope so far?
So far so good. Will stretch it further this weekend.
Please report back if you will...
I wish 1/4's were 1/8's.....should be interesting.
I wish quarters were halves....
You wished too hard or so it might seem. "Watch what you wish for, you just might get it".

So it is scopes that determines the "halves and halve nots".................

I would have agreed with you if we were talking dinero.....but no.
I was talking bling...
Twice the bling would be good.....

Still thinkin' 1/2 in. clicks will be interesting...let us know would ya?
