Currently have a VX2 2-8x32 on a rifle and looking and upgrading to the VX6 2-12.
How's the eye relief on that VX6?
I've has a VX3 4-14 LR with the side focus in the past and wasn't impressed with the ER.
thanks for the thoughts.
Eye relief is very good as is the eye box. Nice easy scope to get behind. VX-6 2-12X on a .300 Weatherby and no worries here. Great scope.
Agree its a great scope with good eye relief.
Thanks! Might be a VX2 2.5-8 CDS with Alumins flip up caps hitting the classifieds soon

If it's a VX3 it might go faster
I have that VX6, I reckon I have 4.5" of eye relief. It is a great scope in my opinion and I find it very easy and fast to get a good edge to edge picture in all shooting positions. For example when prone it may be 4" but off hand may be 5" so eye relief is not critical like it can be with some scopes
I've had the VX3 4-14 you mentioned and it was not friendly to get behind at all. The VX3 3.5-10 is much nicer. I also have the VX6 2-12 and it is a great scope and very easy to get behind. Good eye relief and forgiving eye box.

I too, have the VX 6 2-12 and really am happy with it. I have it on a .375H&H and it has held up well and the eye relief has been more than adequate.
According to the Leupold web site:
VX-6 2-12X42 ER 3.8" constant throughout the power range.
VX-3 2.5-8X36 ER 4.5" to 3.6" low to high power.
I got a ruler out and measured mine, perhaps I have my scope a bit far forward than Leupold intended, but my best sight picture was achieved at 4.5"
Wow, that's some good eye relief!
I think so, and it's appreciated on a 280AI Montana
