Has anyone put the bushnell lrhs vs the Nightforce SHV 4-14x50?

They seem to have similar features (available in mil/mil, capped windage turret, exposed elevation turret). Personally, I start losing the tactical type reticle in low light and wish the 3-12 LRHS was available with illumination.
The 4-18 lrhs is lighted......
What type of rig are we talking about? Everyone has their own tollerance for weight they are willing to accept from a scope. For me, on a hunting rig, the LRHS at 25 oz is pushing it. The 30 oz 4-14x50 SHV gets scratched off my list immediately for weight alone. If you can tolerate 30 oz then its definitely worth considering.
Weight is not a primary concern with this rifle
Eye relief could possibly be a negative!
Speaking of which scope Ackley?

The NF
Looks like the 4.5-18 lrhs wins in weight, eye relief, shorter overall length, and longer main tube length (at least if their websites are correct).

However the lrhs has a smaller objective. Has anyone put the two side by side comparing optical quality? Tracking when twisting turrets, return to zero, etc

How about the LRTSi? Identical to LRHS except no donut of death reticle, and a locking, rather than capped windage turret, and has illuminated reticle..

I can tolerate the 30 oz weight of the SHV and was shooting my 7mm with 180s doing 2950-3000 today with no issues on eye relief. Never tried an LRHS but they get great reviews. I like the SHV a lot on my 7mm.
I have two 4.5-18 LRHS, and I have zero complaints. Never had a NF, so no comparison.
What is the illumination like on both? Does one get dimmer or have thinner lines when illuminated?

I'd prefer no illumination do they even make a 3x12x44 non illuminated version in matte black?

I don't think they make the 3-12x44 LRHS in an illuminated version.

I was liking the G3 reticle a little better than the G2 but not looking for any extra weight over the 25oz LRHS......Thanks

There seems to be a little bit of confusion in which Bushnells are illuminated and which are not. Here's what's available:

3-12 LRHS (non-illuminated)
4.5-18 LRHS (non-illuminated)
4.5-18 LRHSi (The "i" is for illuminated.)

3-12 LRTS (non-illuminated)
3-12 LRTSi (The "i" is for illuminated.)
4.5-18 LRTS (non-illuminated)
4.5-18 LRTSi (The "i" is for illuminated)

The only significant difference between the LRHS and LRTS is the LRTS does not have he donut in the reticle and it has a locking windage turret instead of a capped windage turret.

John
Thats exactly what I thought.

I thought someone was eluding to the fact that there was a 3-12X44 LRHSi

I really like my 4.5-18X44 LRHSi, decent size not super heavy light my 5.5-22 NF NXS (about 7 oz lighter than the NXS in fact).

I actually like the donut of death for my uses. Since its a FFP at 4.5 power the little circle makes it easy to see the center of the scope for quicker target acquisition. I likely will be getting another LRHS before too long. For $1K there are hard to beat. Don't get me wrong I like my NXS but I think both SHV and LRHS are both a better value for my uses.
