Could someone please post a picture looking through this scope? I am considering getting one with CD-I reticle but from the information I have seen online, the reticle posts could be too thick. If some of you gentlemen have this scope, I would appreciate if you could please share your experience and/or post some pictures.

Thank you in advance,

Well, using a graphics software I simulated the view by superimposing posts over the view of one of my existing scopes. This is at 3X.. Looks too tick as I had guessed.

Hmmm.. I wonder why they designed it this way? Even in close range this could cover a lot of a charging animal.. ?? confused

Thank you! Very nice pictures. By the way, just making sure that this the EE (Extended Eye relief) model, right? The reticle in your pictures looks very nice and proportional but I recall looking at these scopes briefly and the reticle looked way too tick (like the picture I made above). It could be that I did not hold my eye at the proper distance (120 mm) from the eyepiece.

Have you ever used this reticle /scope for hunting? Any recomendations?

Thank you again.

Yeah, it's the EE model. I haven't used this scope for hunting. I bought it for my 375 H&H with thoughts of going on Safari some day. I shot it at the range a bit and it works well. The EE is a must have on a heavy recoiling rifle, IMHO. The 1X ability is great for running targets.

I also recently bought the newer 1x8x24 Swaro for my Fieldcraft 6.5 Creedmore. Unconventional I know, but it works well for me as deer like to run away from me and I hunt in tick stuff with the occasional 100-150 shot through open lanes. The 1x allows you to keep both eyes open and get on a moving target quickly.

OK, great. Thanks again. I am considering the 1-6X24 for a Sauer 202 rifle I have. It is 300 Win Mag caliber and currently has a Swarovski PH 2.5-10X42 scope. I have never used a 1X scope either but I too agree that low-power end of the scope's zoom range is much more useful in field hunting than the high end.It might be worth a try:

The new Z8 model is also interesting, specially that it has a turn-off feature for the circle around the dot. I have yet to see one in real life (maybe next shot show). How tick are the posts there? Same as the Z6?

Those thick posts show up well at night, bracket your target in there and fire away. Works on feral hogs in my area.
