Athlon is a company that is a few years old that is producing parallel products to many that are already available. They have not reinvented the wheel, however, they are offering as good a wheel or better for less money.

Their offerings in riflescopes beging with their Neos series riflescopes starting at $89.99 that are parallel offerings to the Vortex Crossfire II series, Leupold VX-1 or the Nikon Prostaff series all the way up to their Cronus BTR 4.5-29x56 which is on par with the Vortex Razor Gen II and is $700.00 less expensive with a wider zoom range.

A review posted here on 24hourcampfire of their Argos BTR riflescope, which is their parallel product to a Vortex PST, and sells for under $400.00 is worth reading.

Also, if you read this Athlon Spotting Scope review , posted by another member here, I think you'll agree that they are offering quality products and are pricing them way below their competition.

Their Midas 10x42 binocular
, at $299.99 is on par with a Vortex Viper, a Nikon Monarch or a Leupold BX-3 but costs significantly less.

IMO, they are pricing their products lower than equal or lesser offerings from other popular brands in order to get their name out there. This has been done before and proven to be a great way to get known. They are based in Kansas. Their customer service is excellent and they are available on the phone, or in person if you are local to them, to answer any questions.

The majority of their offerings are made in China with the exception of their Cronus riflescopes line with is made in Japan. They offer a lifetime warranty.

I think you'll be seeing lots of Athlon Optics popping up over the next few years with great feedback from the owners.

Please feel free to give us a call to discuss their products or any optic questions you may have
