Looking for a decent ($250? or so) red dot for my Remington 11-87 12GA slug gun. It is a dedicated slug gun; cantilevered mount on fully rifled barrel. I use it for deer hunting; most shots less than 100 yards with a sabot.
Any recommendations? Too many options to sort thru - need guidance... Thanks!

Aimpoint has quite a wide range (and price points) - can you recommend a specific model?
I've been quite happy with my three Burris Fast Fire IIIs. Love them for turkey. 3 MOA dot will do you well.
The Aimpoint PRO is a good choice, and can be used with a single 30mm ring. I used a Burris 30mm low ring to mount an Aimpoint PRO on my Ruger Scout rifle and it worked perfectly. The PRO's are often available for less than the longer tube Aimpoints--the only advantage to those units is the ability to mount them with two rings where necessary.
