I run an older gitzo carbon fiber tripod with an outdoorsman micro pan head and am very pleased. My big eyes are Swarovski 15x56

The quick and very stable swap from glass to gun on the same platform holds a lot of appeal. I have a couple of their bipods and I really like them, and I HATE bipods.
Best of all it appeals to my sense of thriftiness because I can share it across all my rifles.

Yep, my initial "buy-in" to set up 6 rifles for their bipod was ~$700 including adapters and the longest set of legs they build. That sounds like a lot, until you figure I've got about a dozen sets of Harris @ ~$90 ea that I don't even like.
Best tripod deal for the money is one we ran the end of December and are running now as a shot show special

The Promaster XC525C with a ball head and a Promaster SPCH20Cine head. The extra head is a fluid head with a pan handle. Both are Arca swiss compatible. Normally this sells for $389.998. The combo is on sale for members here for only $299.99
The tripod folds up to 15.75" and weighs, with the ball head, 2.5 lbs. One of the legs comes off and is a monopod.
Normally it has a 1 year no fault warranty. We extend it to a lifetime warranty for members here.
Please call me with questions or to order
I'm an idiot...I read "bipod" somehow, and further still missed the "big eyes" reference.

Sorry I interjected with the rifle bipod nonsense.

Carry on.

Haha it’s all good just thought you and horse were bullshiitin.... I’ve got some pretty good ideas after lookin around today
I sure wish Doug would import a few Slik 500G-8s...
The Slik 500 series is a nice inexpensive tripod. With the courtesies we extend to Campfire members we can offer MUCH better tripods for the same general price.
We are always here to help out
Give me a call or PM me to discuss the different options that meet your needs

Joel
Joel,
Appreciate the response. The appeal of the slik is the 21 oz weight all up with functional head. What else is out there in that same weight range?

They do make their Sentinel tripod which is also very multi-functional (optics, rifle-rest, tent frame, trekking poles, tree-saw, etc, all in 1 package) and the same attachment process as the bipods.
My Swarovski CF Tripod probably isn’t very light at 52 oz including the head but I’ve sure been happy with it.
