Needed to scope a new heavy barreled 204 and found a NIB Mueller 8-32 for stupid cheap. Have never owned a Mueller and don’t expect a lot from it for the price honestly. Don’t plan to dial and I’ll be happy if it holds zero and is halfway usable on max power. Any experience with this scope from the varmint crowd?

Thanks in advance,

Brett

I have one, that I bought on a pre introduction sale and has been a fairly decent scope. I have it on a target 22LR, it is useable through the whole range of magnification, windage and elevation adjustments have been spot on. My only complaint is the parallax adjustment, it is mushy, you have to turn through where you want it and the turn it back to where you want it or it will change, this was one of the first to hit these shores, they might of gotten that fixed and I should really send it back. It is clearer than both my Vortex 6.5-20 Vipers.

I use the rifle and scope a lot as I'm getting older and need to spend time behind the trigger practicing shooting in different position, sitting, kneeling, standing to stay sharp for target shoots and coyote hunting, it is a lot cheaper to burn through LR's than centerfire ammo.

Interesting, I appreciate the info.

I've had several. All have been the 4.5-14x40 APV. It is an excellent scope for the money. The only problem I've encountered is people buying the scope I have; I then end up getting another. Currently I use mine as a test scope for new rifles. No issues with the adjustments. Mueller has a great warranty...call up and they'll send you a new one, no questions asked. It's a great .22 scope.

Have 2 of the illuminated 2x7 on 223 and 06, they are 5 or 6 yrs old, love them for night varmint calling. I think they are as clear as my VX-R 2x7. Also have a 3x9 illuminated on a CZ 527,223, works great. The illuminated dot is terrific at night, no searching for crosshairs, with the dot illumination turned down to a 2 or 3 level, it is perfect.

A few years back some guy came on another forum I'm on and muddied the water up for Muellers. He shot them all a line of BS and then they found out he was selling them and he left. So to this day the majority on that Forum don't like Muellers. Then we got this long range shooter who joined the forum after the fact. He's very knowledgeable and is the real deal. But he likes Muellers. Now everybody is starting to like them. Me I'm an incurrible Leupold and Nikon man. But I might go crazy and buy one, who knows.
