Ok I told Doug I'd report back once I shook things out.
As Doug said glass is outstanding,in day light in low light and even well past shooting light into darkness.
Illumination is very good from super dim to bright 9 settings. As was talked about previously an orange hue more so than red.
Mounting the scope proved to be a bit troublesome I couldn't get the scope mounted back far enough with Tally one piece rings. The lows were a perfect height but again ran out or room to position the scope.
I ended up using a Seekins rail and APA low rings and everything went smoothly after that.
The one con with the scope is a small eye box but it's not a deal break if you get the scope where it needs to be positioned.
I hit the range after bore sighting the scope and it was shooting 3" high and 3" to the right. I dialed the appropriate clicks and the scope move accordingly 2 more fine tuning adjustments and the same result right the scope tracked perfectly.
I then shot a 3 shot group and called it a day with that rifle
My impression is this is a quality scope especially the glass time will tell how it holds up but I don't foresee any problems I'll call it a keeper especially at Camerlands sale price
As a direct comparison this and Nightforce SHV 2x10 I'd give the glass to the Leica by a good bit but the SHV is easier to get behind. I don't have the SHV with the illuminated plex so that may shake out differently than the standard plex model I'm running on my Creed.

My Leica range finder has some excellent glass and always wondered about their line of scopes. Reading your review about the glass makes me want one but I hate a scope with a small eye box.
Looks like at least a 6" scope mounting tube.
Thanks. I was wondering about the Leica scopes. Can’t say I knew much of anything about them. If you get bored, can you add a pic of the reticle?

Nice review and great shooting! I love the old school Leica script!

Good write up George. I have a Leica with this reticle and share George's opinion of the glass. It is outstanding.
As to the eye box it's not a deal breaker if it was I'd of sent it back asap, but as noted the NF SHV is more forgiving in that department
Thanks for the review. It looks like to me the scope is mounted too far back for one with 4” of eye relief. I love mine and hope to get it to the range Monday. Optically it is the best scope I’ve seen. Happy Trails
It’s mounted where it needs to be for me I don’t crane my head forward
