Do the VX II s have a lifetime warranty? I have a rifle coming that has an older 3x9 VX II on it.
I believe all Leupold scopes do.
When you say older VX-II do you really mean Vari-X II?
It sure does.
I acquired an old Vari-X II 3-9x on a swapped rifle a couple of years ago and decided to give it to my hunting partner. I sent it in for cleaning and a checkup, but it had issues so Leupold sent me a brand new VX Freedom. My buddy loves it.
All of Leupold's Gold Ring optics have lifetime, transferrable warranties. As Mathman stated, the Vari-X II, VX-II, and VX-2 are all completely separate lines that Leupold has offered through the years.
It’s a Var-XII. That’s good to know. It’s on a Savage 99. I have a set of Weaver bases and Burris rings to mount scope with. Thank you all for your help. That makes the rifle a better buy. If a fellow has a question, someone will have the answer!!!
Hanco,
Yes, all Leupold scopes that are sold commercially (not under military contracts) have a lifetime warranty. We do not require proof of purchase, or for you to be the original owner. Inherited it from your dad? No problem. Find it in a field? You're all set.
I do want to correct ckat slightly, though. It is not just "Gold Ring" products that have this lifetime warranty. All of our riflescopes, spotting scopes, binoculars, mounts, and accessories share the same guarantee.
Hope this helps!
It does, thank you, probably have 25 Leupold scopes, binoculars etc.

That is why I have so many Leupold scopes as well. Good thing is... I don't need to use it.
I’ve never had to send one back yet. I was a Denver made Redfield guy before I swapped to Leupold. I got good service out of them too. I still have three on .22’s. They are over 40 years old.
