Even though I am thick skinned, let's be nice please.

I see the numerous threads telling us to avoid Leupold and certain models discussed recently but I was not sure that each and every model is to be avoided.
Midway has a deal right now for the Mark 4 Long Range Tactical M1 with TMR Reticle, $749.99 with free shipping. Sounds good but only if they are good.
I would rather have zero stop but I can do without that and don't have to have the exposed windage knob.

But, someone has brought to my attention that I can get a Zeiss V4 right now for $50.00 less. It has zero stop and capped windage.

I would like to see opinions esp. from anyone who has knowledge of both but also from anyone who has experience with either one of them.

I wondered if the problems that seem to plague Leupold with some of the newer versions was in the design or manufacturing of those or if it was across the board with
ALL models? I have a VX3i 3x10 that seems to be fine but I have it on a Number 1 .264 "point and shoot" rifle that gets very little use.

Thanks

I've never used the zeiss, but i have an SHV 5-20x56 and the glass seems as good as my NXS 8-32. One day shooting paper at 300yds in really bad mirage, it resolved 223 bullet holes that I could hardly make out through my S&B pm. I'm not saying it's as good as S&B, but for the money I think they are good. Mine tracks well also.
