Anyone ever purchased from Samplelist.com? If so, did you buy a Demo A, B or C and what was your impression of the condition it was received in?
Several times, swfa/samplelist are good people. Several purchases over the years and no problems. They even host a hunting/shooting optics forum opticstalk.com.
Buy with confidence. The A, B, or C is spelled out pretty clearly and my purchases have always fit with the descriptions or even a little better condition.
SWFA has a 110% price match that I've used several times, and they take tradein scopes also.
I last purchased a S&B Classic and it was a B...looked like it had never been touched. Looking at another one there today.
I've bought a couple rated "Demo B" which looked brand new.
Bought a Demo B VX-R and it looks like new. I check them out weekly just to see the offerings. First class out fit.
Bought a couple A,B & C all were great shape. A & B’s were like new.C’s were in very good shape.
Bought a scope and got some essentially NIB Zeiss 7X42 classic binos. No issues at all.
I've bought a couple of items from them but haven't seen any real good deals as years past! Prices have crept up a bit.
They're good to go. They have crept up in price. There used to be a coupon that offset the sales tax for those of us in Tx. If you ask them, they'll probably give you one. They provided me one about a year ago
I bought over a dozen optics from them, all a great deal.
I recently received a SWFA 16x demo “B”.
Think didn’t have a scratch, Blem, or mark on it. Would have passed for new.
In years past I have used them to trade in a few riflescopes on brand new scopes from them with very good luck. However, I tried this summer to trade in a like new VX5HD on a brand new Swaro Z3 3-9x36 and never received a response using the trade in form on their website...not sure if they weren't interested in the scope due to having too many or what. It all worked out for me though using craiglist in my local area. I ended up trading for a like new VX3, not the VX3i, 2.5-8x36 and broke even on the deal. I liked the VX5HD besides the wide duplex looking reticle but prefer a smaller scope on my Rem 700 mountain rifle.
I've been to their store in Midlothian and they have a very nice place. Nothing to do with deals as per this post. One of the nicer places was Ally Outdoor in Midland, they had some real nice high end inventory!
My A was certainly new looking. Saved $150 on a loopy about 7 years ago.
Bought several Leupold and Zeiss from them. They were as advertised or better.
Their list selection is abysmal compared to what it used to be.
