What would you'se recommend for scoping a .17WSM?
Should I get a Rimfire scope or would a 4-12x40 Riflescope do the trick?
confused

I did the 4-12x40. Seems like a good pairing.

Sure, scope it up 4-12.

I have a Redfield Revolution 4-12x40 that I have planned for it but second guess myself about the parallax deal and close up shooting.
One with a side focus would be nice, but not in the cards at this time.

Bushnell Trophy XLT 4-12 AO. Stiil around for <$200. Mine's been on a couple CFs, a magnum springer airgun, and now sits on a CZ .22.

Never tested the tracking, but never had it do anything strange while adjusting it either.

If you stay at 6x or lower at shorter ranges, I doubt if the one you have will give you trouble, especially if you're careful to stay right behind it. Clamp it down and test it yourself to see where any parallax starts to show.

I use a 6x or 10x SS on my WSM depending on my mood.

Put one on a 17 HMR and it does whats needed to about 300 yards, which is all I need for the rimfire. Further in good light.

You would need to spend almost ten times more to get performance that is a significant step up.

Cameraland made a liar out of me. This would fill the bill and you would not have that feeling that you would want to upgrade which you may with the Bushnell. https://cameralandny.com/shop/burri...d2826?variation=1693890&query=burris

My WSM would be pissed if I put a lowly HMR scope on it.

Some good info.
Good price at CDNN
I copied and pasted the Cameraland link and ended up with ten pages, so not sure which one Tejano had in mind.

How about a NIB Zeiss conquest HD5 3-15x42 RZ reticle for $599.00?
Posted By: bowmanh Re: Scope for .17WSM? - 09/24/19
I have a Burris 4.5-14 x 42 Ballistic Plex on my .17 HMR and it works great for that cartridge.

Thanks all for your opinions
My Redfield Revolution 4-12x40 is already paid for, plus it is made in the USA. Two things that mean a lot to me. It came with a Bushnell for .17WSM like the A17 model that is mentioned that I will go to if that doesn't work out.
Blessings
