Friends,

Anyone hunt with the Nightforce NX8 1-8x24? Curious as to thoughts on this scope for close-medium (10-200 yard) shooting on predators and hogs (to include low light use).

I've used it some for hunting and really like it. I usually ran it between 4x and 6x. It's a bold reticle and is easy to pick up at shorter ranges and in thick stuff. The illumination is bright....so bright it can take away from the image in low light even on it's lowest setting. The reticle is pretty bold so it shows up fairly well in low light with the illum off...but it is a smaller exit pupil at the higher powers and you can tell in low light. I switched it over to an AR and haven't hunted with it since....I need to pick up another.
