I returned a well-used scope for an illumination issue. It was HD SS 5-20-50mm which I bought used. They got it on Tuesday 12 Nov and shipped out a brand new one which I received today!!!

Thank you SWFA. Great products great service!

Excellent to hear!!

They are awesome. I had an issue with one of mine (16x SS). I dropped it and bent the eye piece. I emailed them and they said "send it in". I think they even sent me a shipping label. Anyway, it was totally my fault and I told them, but they sent me back a brand new scope. They also gave me a choice between any of their fixed power scopes. They said if I wanted to try a different power range or reticle, let them know. I chose another 16x, but with the milquad reticle. They are excellent people for sure!!!!

I bought a used 10x and it fogged up big time took pictures of it sent it to them. Had reply in no time said send it back. Told them I bought it used etc. anyhow sent it in and less than a week later had new scope.

I have sent scopes in on a couple of occasions and received the same service, as is mentioned here. I love the 6 and 10x fixed scopes.

Don't go ballistic on me when I say this but it makes me wonder if SWFA scopes are as bullet proof (so to speak) as the gospel claims around here on the fire? Reason I ask is that I'm looking at 3 FFP scopes in my price range that I can afford on payday in order. It will be my FFP scope that I've ever bought. Should I stay with the SWFA or look at the others more? Thanks

1. SWFA 5-15x42 FFP MOA

2. Burris Veracity 5-25x50 Ballistic E1 FFP MOA

3. Bushnell Elite 6500 4.5-30x50

4. Real Questionable- Nikon BLACK FX1000 4-16x50 Matte FX-MOA

Also consider this one. I would pick it over any you listed.

You know what? I was but forgot to mention it. I've heard no bad on the lrts or the lrhs. From what I've read they are both great but more prefer the older lrhs.

Well considering you can get two of the FX1000’s for the price of the others, if cost is a consideration that’s kind of a no brainer.

No not really that low because you can get one now at blowout prices and that's what makes me skeered. I read that they was doing away with rifle scopes. No thank you. I might be able to swing about 7 something is my budget. It's worth getting fussed at.

I’ve had both and they are nearly identical. LRTSi has G3 reticle instead of G2H, locking windage turret instead of capped. That’s it. In every other way they are identical.

Those that prefer the LRHS generally do so because the donut allows low light reticle visibility in close in shots. On the illuminated LRTS (LRTSi), the subtensions are coarse enough to be able to see the reticle in low light even without turning the illum on. That being said, the illum on the LRTSi is done well. Daylight visible on its brightest setting and just barely visible in low light on its lowest setting with settings appropriate for any lighting conditions in between. I hunt with mine until last legal light on a regular basis and never need to turn the illum on, but it is nice to have.

True. Forgot about that even though I do like the throw lever.

1). It’s a 3-15x, and Mil-Quad is significantly better.

2). Not consistently reliable

3). Is so-so in reliability, and has sub par reticles/turrets

4). Junk.

The only scopes that are more consistently reliable than fixed power and HD SWFA’s is Nightforce.
