What is your favorite binocular harness? Not looking for one with a pouch, just a clip-in model that holds the binocular to my chest but is instantly accessible for use.

Thanks, RS

Rick Young Outdoors Ultra-Light Binocular Harness

I've got a Crooked Horn harness with a bino cover and rangefinder pouch but am going to a pouch setup of some kind for the binos. I don't like them uncovered.

I love these.

Recently started using the Neoprene Bino Cover with it and it fits my use as well....waiting to see how it works in the rain as I'm a little skeptical there but for keeping things covered up, low footprint, and easy to access I like the cover so far.
My removable cover is lost somewhere, probably in the truck. That's why the need for a pouch. I'm completely done with anything less.

Yes and Yes, I have been using the Rick Young Bino harness for two seasons and it’s perfect.
Why not a pouch type harness? They work great.

For my 10’s I got a Alaska guide design, for my little 8’s I run the crookedhorn bino harness. Love the Alaska guide, got a pouch for my wind checker and a handheld predator call, on top of the flap there’s a couple sleeves, I keep my ziess wipes and license and tag in

It's worked well for me in the rain over the last couple of years, though I'll tend to tuck it into my shell if it's really pouring.
I like the Alaska Guide pouch harness. It sure didn't look like it when I first put it on, but they are pretty much out of the way of almost anything you're doing while wearing them.
I’m not a pouch guy myself.

If you’re just looking for the strap type harness, the best one in my opinion is the Op/tech USA bino/camera harness. Make sure you get the elastic version #5301422(not the webbing strap version). The elastic straps on the Optech are significantly stronger w/more durable elastic than all others I’ve tried(better than Crooked Horn, Leupold, Vortex etc.). Also, the Optech harness comes with excellent quick-disconnect(Uni-Loop) attachments that really set them apart from the others.

Best price I could find is: $16.95 on eBay w/free shipping.
I’d suggest also getting the 3/8” webbing connector straps(# 1301252). On ebay for $7.95 w/free shipping. These thin straps will give you enough length to be able to attach your binocular’s ocular lens rainguard to the harness strap and customize it so it just falls out of the way when using your binos but stays attached so you don’t lose it.

$24.90 shipped to your door for a very user friendly, durable and simple system.

Ricky Young. It’s almost not there and so many options on carry mode.

Another for Rick Young
I ended up going with the Rick Young and am very pleased. Thanks to all for the info.

RS
I had a Rick Young harness and the brush tore them off of me and I threw them away.

Good luck.
