Looking for a friend.
He just acquired a round top Sako, L-461 (small) action. It’s drilled and tapped for bases, and has a set of weaver bases on it.
Anyone make a steel base for this rifle?

The Conetrol steel bases are nice, as are their projectionless rings.

To match the beautiful high polish of your friend's older Sako, you will want the Gunner bases and rings (mirror polish) not the Huntur ones (satin finish).

The mirror-finished bases and projectionless rings look perfect on the small Sako action -- but they ain't cheap. :-) LINK to Pricing

Any other alternatives out there?

I know there are -- I'll post again if I remember.

Meanwhile, I found a picture of the Conetrol projectionless rings and bases.
