Does anyone know if Meopta assembled the old Conquest 2.5-8x32 MC for Zeiss? If so, I wonder if we (with Doug’s help) could get them to crank them out again under their own brand? With the #4 reticle of course.
I’m in for one of those compact scope.
I would buy at least one. The Conquest 2.5-8x32 was my favorite scope.
I'm in for 3. What will Doug need... maybe 196 more?? Let's do this!

I'd be up for any sensible lightweight scope from them, 4, 6, 2-7 or 2.5-8 X32 or 36
So....193 to go.
Don’t think they were as common as the 3-9x40, hardly ever see one for sale like the 3-9x40.

I would take one or two with their #4 reticle for sure.
I have three, I'd take at least two more!
Im in for 1 maybe 2 if the price is right...
If the price was right, I would take more than one.
I would take at least one but with the caveat that I would prefer a straight duplex. i had a Meopta 3-10 #4 and the center section of the reticle was too fine. It
disappeared in low light which is odd for a reticle designed for low light use. The three Zeiss 2.5-8's I have do not suffer this condition. It's a fine scope nonetheless.
Add another one or two. The conquest 2.5-8 while a little portly in the eyepiece and on the scale, would still be a great design to work from, in FFP, and yes, put a proper #4a in it.
Just paid big bucks for a 20-25yo euro #4 1.5-6x, not because it’s frankly “worth” that much, but because there are so few out there and we’re all competing for them. I have to believe, produced smartly, the scope proposed would be a net profit maker and more importantly to meopta (or whoever), establish the brand in the US market for actual hunters.
A scope like this should sell really well. (2.5-8X36) Say about 1/2 inch longer than a Leupold.
Not sure, why the manufacturing companies don't realize this.
If they were $400 or less with Meopta’s current #4 I’d take two. That reticle looks great for fast woods shooting and decent for hold overs to 300 with rounds in the 2400-2500 FPS range.

i want to upload my photo on facebookPic originally posted by TxHunter80 on another thread. The thin part is supposed to disappear in low light. This is what makes the #4 great. If you’re relying on the fine center crosshairs, than the thick posts aren’t even needed and a duplex works just as well.
Exactly right. At 100 or less merely bracketing the chest between the thick parts will suffice. Looks prefect for both speed and precision as needed.
In a day when most scopes are 2.5-50x56 a medium variable really makes sense. powdr

Any more info on this? Was this a rumour going round or based on some fact?
I have one of these scopes on my .35 Whelen and it is nice and trim. However, it flares very badly when looking into the sun (rising or setting sun etc.).
Conquest 2.5-8x32 MC Is the only scope that I’ve never taken off a rifle.
