Is it just me, or is the Deploy MOA reticle the most god awful thing ever? Love the prices on those Nitro scopes, but no way I could stand that reticle. Maybe it’s just me, but it seems way to busy.

It's not just you...
I have one and it is my least favorite.. LOL
I had been considering the 5-20x44 SFP but wasn't crazy about the reticle either. This past weekend I happened to be at a Cabelas and they had one so I took a look through it. Yes, it is busy but the lines were finer than I had expected. When I saw Dougs post about the rebates I promptly ordered one. Heck, for $142 it can go on a rimfire if I'm not crazy about it.

What is your opinion on the glass quality? I have a few of the Bushnell 4200 scopes that I'm happy with so I figured for the money spent it would be worth a chance.
The glass is great..No complaints.. Nothing wrong with the scope..Tracks fine.. The hash marks are dead on.. The reticle just doesn't draw your eye to the center as well as I would have liked. Still very usable though...

I kicked one around with that in mind but just couldn't pull the trigger. That reticle really is awful.....at any price.

I agree, but then there aren't too many of the "new" style reticles that I do like, for hunting that is.

Looks like something out of the cockpit of a F-18...
I've got several.. and I LIKE the reticle...

like anything, spend a little time with it, and you'll become familiar with it.. and then I found it to be very useful...
I will likely try this scope on one of my varmint rifles where the majority of my shooting on gophers and prairie dogs is out to about 500 yards. Most of my scopes have plain Plex reticles and a couple with target dots. I do have a Vortex Viper and Bushnell 4200 Tactical, both with mil dots. They are both good glass but the dots can cover up small critters far away. The fine lines of the Deploy MOA seems like it would be better but I won’t know for a few months I guess! If the glass is good and your getting a scope with a lifetime warranty it will likely serve its purpose for me just as well as an optic five times it’s price.
A 1 minute windage hold is a very common wind hold to make. You have to look at the end of the upper marking to reference it. Not ideal. They should have done more of a nightforce moar style

I don't know you well enough to know if you are god awful, but that Deploy MOA reticle certainly is an abortion of a reticle.

Yes, if you are not used to this type reticle, it takes a bit to get used too. I, have two now on service rifles,(K-31 Swiss & M1a) like them for that purpose. Not what I would want on a hunting rig they are big and 23-26 oz? I, do not want the weight and clutter for a hunting rig.

Glass on par to better than the old 4200 elites, clicks adjustments as they should, eye relief ok for me.

I, do wonder why they are selling these at such a discount.

my < .02
Somebody pass me a pointy hat. Uhhhh, say it agin.

2 MOA and 4 MOA total length, so that is 1 MOA and 2 MOA on either side of the vertical. Got it. Don't want it. Cant imagine a low light situation. I do like my Nightforce MOAR though.

And that isn't even the worst one. The FFP one with all the dots is even crazier.

If you want holdovers for drop and wind together the “Christmas tree” reticles make sense. Not my first choice for most hunting I do, but a useful tool to have in the toolbox.

I love that reticle.

Get your hold over and wind off your range card....slide up to your hold over, slide over to your wind.....drop your 6pt bull....no turrets, no twisting, no wasted effort!

I like the Deploy MOA SFP Reticle which Kingston shows . I'm ticked-off because I bought more than one of these a couple weeks ago ....... and now Bushnell announces the $58 each Rebate . Will call Camera Land tomorrow and see if I'm SOL !

You should be calling Bushnell. They are the ones offering the rebate. If you bought weeks before the window, I don’t see why yiu’d be angry.

Yeh TannHauser , I see your point . I think Doug might be more helpful to start with . Then it's on to Bushnell . Oh , I'm really happy with the Optic quality . However after two recent Surgeries it will be a while before I'm up and around to Test this Scope on Targets . Maybe that's why I'm grumpy !
I’ve got one of the cheap Engage 3-9x40s with that reticle.

It’s fine. I don’t know what all the fussy babies are crying about.
Put a bushnell 4x16 engage with deploy moa on the tikka t1x in 22 mag that I built and it tracks better than any leupold I have plus I like the fine reticle. Time will tell if if holds up to twisting knobs but for the month I been using it so far so good
