Local gun store just got in Styrka scopes and binoculars. They appear pretty good. Anyone have real world experience with tbem?

Gonna bump this thread, in case any others may have some input. Still looking, especially at the binoculars, but am a little leery.

A buddy bought a scope I cannot remember which model, I think S5 4-16, but the eye box was so small you had to be perfect on it or you lost all view. We never even tried to sight it in, he took it back to the place he bought it and returned it. The Binos May be ok but I wouldn’t by one of their scopes far better options in the same price points

Just the kind of real experience I'm looking for. Thanks.

I have a S5 on my Anschutz and see no problems. Good scope for what I paid for it, for certain. Great warranty!

Might be an up and coming brand. Think I'll give the binocs a try. Will be a gift for my girlfriend, who likes to watch the hills and our bird feeder through the picture window. We're on the edge of town, so we often see wildlife from the living room.

You are up against the new guy vs the old line company argument. How you stand on that is your choice. Having said that I have the Stryka S7 and S9 binoculars, both in 8x. The S7 is Chinese, and is compact and has a wider than listed fov. The image is better than good and will offer good views. The S9 will be embarrassed by nothing on the market, regardless of who made it and what you paid for it. I'm not saying what it might be better than, but just that it is a pretty impressive binocular. It is Japanese in source. Stryka is affiliated with Celestron, a brand specifically noted for astronomical gear.

Where are they made?

Update.. went to a sporting goods store, looked through Nikon Monarch 7, Styrka S7, and Vortex 10 x 42s, alll in the $500 price range. Couldn't tell a nickels difference in image quality. My significant other, who will be the main user, liked how the Nikons felt in her hand better, so we got them. All were impressive. We looked through a pair of $2600 Swarovskis for comparison, and they were a little sharper, but in the good daylight, not very much. Bet at dusk the Swarovskis would show their superiority though.

From some reading I did on them when Stryka first hit the market, it’s rumored they are made by Celestron that makes telescopes. Every Stryka I’ve seen all said made in China.

I bought a Styrka S-5 3-9x with side focus a couple years ago mainly I wanted the side focus on a 3-9x scope. I think it is a very nice quality scope and is real nice to look at also! I am embarassed to say that I mounted and boresighted it and am real happy how it worked with no glitches like a lot of the high dollar scopes.-----but, I have never used it yet. so I don't know how it will work in real use.
Chuck Hawks did a report on it but I have seen no others.
I will do a report on mine soon. Maybe

Ken
