Have been looking at Doug's Optika 6, quite possibly going that way.
Thanks everyone.

Another vote for the 10x MQ. I think it has plenty of magnification, and is well suited for 600 yards.
Plywood Prairie Chicken at 490 yards, 12"x12" plate.

I've done that with a 6X SWFA and my Ruger Predator, the 10X might be better. Lotta scope for $299.

For a "range toy" the SWFA 10x works very well, especially for just goofing around. It's what's on mine.
If hunting coyotes is gonna be involved at all, then I'd want a variable with a much lower bottom end.

Leupold 3.5-10x40 VX3i CDS ZL Nice to be able to drop it down to 3.5X for hunting in think stuff if you ever decide to use it for more than target shooting.
