I have a Kimber 8400 Talkeenta that I’m trying to get a short tubed scope mounted on. Wondering if anyone has a set of extended Talley lightweights mounted and if they could measure the mounting distance. From the front of the front ring to the back of the back ring, set up in their shortest configuration. Seems like a long shot but figured I’d ask.
If not I might have to go the pic rail direction..

Have done the same rifle but opted for a longer tube scope [Leupold 3x] rather than have any mounts blocking the loading port.

Talley is down the road a bit from me. Call them and they'll get you fixed up. I needed some extended bases on a Kimber Montana and they told me to bring it in. They put the rifle in their gun vise put some extended bases and rings on it, bore sighted it and told me not to worry about the difference in price between that and the one piece mounts I brought with me! Only a couple guys work there but customer service has always been great when I've called.
