Is/has anyone used? The more I look at it, the more I think I like the idea. A wadcutter that I can use same powder charges as I'm using with with SWC of that weight (160'ish). Should make hitting to the sights just that much easier.

Never used that one, but the idea has mucho merit.

It makes a hell of a lot more sense than having dozens of moulds that are one trick ponies or require anither dozen different loads. (Just ask this poster child).

I'm going in, both feet. That and the 358477 and Lee 358-RF should cover all bases for me.


Though a few 173gr Keith's are nice.

This thread has had me eyeing WC molds for the last day or two. Thinking I may need a two holer of some kind.

I saw an old Ideal that leaves about half the bullet out of the case, just a big old straight sided flat nosed soup can. Probably smack the snot out of stuff inside of 50 yards or however far it would stay stable.

Of course a buddy once gave me a huge box of H&G #50 wadcutters sized .358 and lubed with LBT blue. They were the most accurate bullets I’ve ever put through any of my 38s or 357s. From 2.7gr of Bullseye to full power loads with slower powders in 357 they just flat out stacked in there. Shot some grouse with them in a 4 5/8” Blackhawk on a fly out moose hunt once. Makes me kinda want an H&G mold

I sure like that Lee 158 RF. Big meplat. I'd prefer a non-bevel-base version through Lee though. I ended up getting the NOE version. The Lee 158's also work well in 9mm.

All of the bullets mentioned in this thread are good bullets. It is true though the H&G 50 or the like will take you a long way.

Yeah, I have used that bullet since the late '60's. First in my S&W K-38 Masterpiece and later in various .357s. I like it because it has a crimp groove which leaves a little of the bullet outside the case mouth instead of all in the case. Cuts nice caliber size holes in paper and skin. I have a box full I need to size and lube.

My favorite wadcutter. Been using it since the sixties. Haven't found a gun yet that doesn't like it. Wish it has been available in 4 cav when I bought mine. Go for it.
