I can take no credit for the idea , there are videos on youtube.
It gave the old wood splitter a workout , that's for sure.

Another suggestion. Walk into the local chapter of NOW or a Rush calls them the NAGS with your bar of lead and iron and a wrinkled shirt
March up to the stage with the lead hid behind you, hold up shirt and iron look at the speaker and say 'Hey bitch, be a real woman and iron this shirt!'
When she starts screaming and frothing at the mouth push the lead forward and she will chew thru the bar in a flash.
All it takes is a death wish on your part.

Cool!
I'd love to find a chunk of lead that size.

Mine was in a bar about 3" thick and 3.5' long. I cut into pieces using a hatchet and 5 pound short handled seldge hammer. Made short work of cutting that lead up.

I ran into a couple big anchors that my Uncle's gave me.
But James gave me a big cast iron pot as well.
So, I stoked a big campfire and put the pot down in the fire and had at it.
Used a big ladle I made from a 2" pipe cap and a 3' rod and a custom ingot mold made from 1-1/2" angle iron and poured out a bunch of ingots.
Your chunk may have fit in the pot.
How much did you net on that brick?
I'd like to luck into a chunck of lead like that. Lucky Dog R U
I've have a 55# block like that with access to more. It was ballast for a commercial fishing boat.
Think it'll fit in a "flat rate" box???

I'm gonna have to figure out how to put it on the ferry or Samson barge when I finally get to move back up to the interior.
