I cast a bunch of 260 gr hollow point bullets for my 45 Colt then thought "Why not?" So I sized to 252 and made up a dummy round. Feeds like a dream. Now I am looking for starting load data. Don't want to go crazy but I am thinking this bullet would really beat up a bowling pin.

Would like to USA AA 2, 5, or 7. Any ideas?
Respectfully, You mean .452, Scott?

I think those would KICK ASS on some unsuspecting bowling pins.

Love the pics of your powder-coated bullets you make for your son on FB, BTW.

The only AA5 data I have is for 240 grain 6.8 to 7.5 from Sierra.
Older Hodgdons has a 260 using HS6 which is real close to AA5 going 7.5 - 8.0
You can look at 45 Auto Rim loads. For some reason heavier bullets are listed there, but not under 45 ACP. Just don't get into any of the +P loadings that seem fashionable nowdays.
Thanks guys.
