I am thinking of getting a nice old black powder Cape gun going. It came with a slightly cut down and formed .45/70 case in the rifle chamber. I did a chamber cast and the bore measures 0.447", or 11.38mm. Thought I would post here and see if anyone is casting some odd ball bullets I might be able to try if I get a set of dies made.
The gun is currently for sale on gunbroker so if you want to see some fabulous old time engraving, take a gander: https://www.gunbroker.com/item/838769537
Thanks for any help you can offer on bullets.

What is the groove diameter?

You might be able to paper patch a cast .44 mag bullet and run with that.
Someone bought it, was it you sako?
