Been out scouting for my dads hunt. I still have at least 4 more trips planned to learn the area better. These are a few of the rams I saw on the first trip out. This is my first time posting pics on the Campfire. I would like to thank everyone to helped with info on posting pics.
Awesome pics and looks like a few pretty nice rams. What unit did you dad draw?
That's a good looking ram. Keep tabs on him.
I have another trip planned this weekend to check out a different area of the mountain. I’m still learning on how to judge them. I’m also trying to squeeze in some antelope scouting for my hunt next month.
Great critters that Oryx looks like a dandy
Great pics! I’m jealous! A buddy of mine drew the caballos last year and killed a good ram and the year before another buddy’s son drew the youth hunt on Turner’s. Those tags are getting drawn all around me hopefully I’ll get one someday!!
Beautiful animals and beautiful country.
Thank you for resizing the pics. It was a great time with my dad and brother. All the scouting paid off, rams are hard to judge. I’m glad he found one that he was more than happy with. Now we will wait until Monday to get him plugged by the G&F.
Very nice ram. Congrats.
How about the antelope hunt?
It was a good year. My niece drew an off range oryx tag, she was able to harvest an old bull. And a few days before thanksgiving my dad was able to get a pretty wide mule deer.
Dang, y’all did have a really good year!!! That antelope is huge!
Dandy antelope as well Congrats again
Great season!!!
Did you score the speed goat? Or a side picture with cutters?
I'm guesstimating that goat at 86"-ish. Your family had one helluva great year! Congrats to all, very impressive. And thanks for the photos.
RS
I was at 80-82 because you cannot see cutters
It’s a stud whatever he scored
He was a little weak score wise because he had so much length above the cutters.
Thanks for the great comments. It was a good hunting year. Even with all the craziness going on. Hunting and scouting was a great escape. The oryx and bighorn was a first for us. Hopefully be can be successful in the future for drawing tags. I told my dad now all the can hope for is Rocky mountain bighorn. His once in a life time desert is punched.
