Drew a leftover doe tag for this unit. I know, I know, no public land. Will be working the walk in units.

Curious about camping around there, dispersed primitive type for a couple of RVs. Any tips?

Thanks,
Bob.

have hunted 109 alot and dont no of anything primitive because of the same amout of public land, search the web for story and banner, dayton or ranchchester wyoming to see if there is a spot for your Rvs!

There's not much BLM in 109, but it is adjacent to a LOT of USFS, where you're free to camp anywhere there is a wide spot in the road, then drive just a few miles to a state section and hunt. Don't camp on state surface as it generally isn't allowed but hunting is.

No camping allowed on state lands.
I would drive up into the NF as stated.
You have some walk in areas to hunt, have fun .

Thanks wytex.

This will be my third year hunting Wyoming antelopes, first two were outside of Thermopolis.

I know you asked about primitive camping, but the KOA just north of Sheridan would be a really convenient place to be if you're hunting in 109. We stayed there when we were hunting area 15, but we did drive around in 109 to check it out for future hunts. Definitely not much public land but we did see a couple sections of state land that likely holds antelope.
