Buddy's non-typical bow kill. He has been watching this deer for the past year. Finally connected this morning.

Cool, the shoulder shot was the only reason I asked. Shooting shoulders was always a no go with a regular bow but I have a buddy with a Tenpoint crossbow that regularly breaks shoulders like it was a rifle.

KY Crossbow season did open this morning. However, the only bow pics I see on his FB page are a compound.

Depending on the angle of the shot, there’s a pretty good chance that didn’t even touch shoulder bone, and if it did, it hit the thing part of the scapula, which most any compound or crossbow would blow through easily. Aside from that, congrats to the hunter on a buck of a lifetime!
