Took the kiddos out for the opener this morning. Spotted a mule deer doe that I wanted to hang my B tag on and we made our approach. We belly crawled up to the edge of the coulee she was in. A young buck spooked and they ran up the other side of the coulee. She and two spikes stopped and looked back one last time. I was slung up in the prone. Told Baby to cover her ears and let the deer have it. She stumbled and rolled down into the bottom of the coulee. The kids were stoked.

The boy has done this before, but it was the 3 years old first go. We initiated her proper! Nice short stalk.







Going to be tough for me to top this one boys! We had a blast!
