Had quite a first fall of hunting! His first antelope.
His first deer...
And elk....all taken with one shot each shooting the 6.5 SAUM, and 139gr scenars.
His brothers did well too...John's first buck antelope.
John's mule deer buck, taken seconds after his little brother connected.
Big brother, Shane with his third mule deer buck. He made an incredible shot on this buck with the 6.5 SAUM.
My favorite hunting picture of the year...a silent moment of appreciation shared by Logan and John when they walked up to their bucks..as candid as it gets.
Pat, those are all fantastic - congrats to you and your family. Always enjoy your posts, you are a blessed fellow!!
Looks like they all did great Pat... Kudos to gettin' the kids out and learnin' them up...
Playing "texas Hold Em", for Ritz crackers, and Oreo's in our hunting camp. Homework had to be finished first, of course...grin!
Shane, working over steel at 500...getting ready.
Looks like you guys all had a great season... Tell the kids congrats!
That's awesome Pat.. Congrats to your boys!
Man, the critters in Montana are going to catch extra hell in the future. Great animals.
And smiles.
Great looking kids Pat - thank their mother.

Freezer must be well stocked...grin

Great pictures. The Scenar Boys are living the Good Life
Very nice Pat! I know you couldn't be more proud of them.
Particularly like the last picture. My Grandfather instilled that in me as a young boy and I've made it a point to carry it on to my daughter. Good stuff Man.
Pat;
Those posts are just grand to see sir - please send the boys hearty congratulations on those fine animals.
You get another tip of the hat from me for laying the foundation and spending the time and energy required to see that those hunts took place. Awesome job there sir.
Thanks again for sharing your special hunts with us and all the best to you and yours this winter Pat.
Dwayne
Great post and pics, Pat. Kudos all around to the young guys. Great animals there and quality bonding time with family. Doesn't get much better...
(P.S. The youngest looks just like Dad! Couldve easily pulled him out of a lineup as your son!)
That's what it's all about.
Congrats to all.
Looks like a heck of a season all around. And those boys sure do know rifles!
That whole thing is awesome!! Congrats to you and your sons!
Great pictures! Looks like you have had quite a hunting season. Congratulations to all of you and best wishes for many more memorable hunts together.
That's what its all about Pat. Congrats to you and the boys. You guys rock, and ya'll make a great team, and family.
Pat,
Fine job all around, it's not easy keeping boys on the straight path. I always open your posts with appreciation and anticipation of the beautiful animals, pictures, and stories. Keeps this flatlander going!
Mega-Uber-cool beans Pat!
That is awesome!!!
BTW--do you adopt, because I'm available if you need a really old son?!!?
Great year.
Here's to many more for your family.
good deal, congrats to all
Congrats to all the Scenar's and condolences to Pat's bank acct. I am sure George Gardner is licking his chops of having to build Pat 3 new rifles for the day they all want their very own GAP Ext Hunter. I can't even imagine a fall like this one has been for you and yours congrats again. Magnum Man
Every youth hunter's dream - Grow up in NE Montana, in your house. Congrats to the hunters in your family.
Jesus...the Scenars are killing more game than blue-tongue.
Congrat's all around. Great hunting, and memories to last a lifetime.
Does my heart good to see youngsters out hunting. Great job Pat! Nice too see there are still big muleys around too.
That last pic of two brothers and two bucks is outstanding!
Very Nice... Congrats to the boys. You wouldn't happen to need a 44 year old son would you?
Fantastic pictures and story. Threads like this are one of the reasons I enjoy the campfire so much.
My congratulations to the young hunters and a tip of the hat to Dad.
Congrats to the young hunters and good job dad.
Congrats to the boys! Great photos to remember for a lifetime.
I'm betting this was a year Logan will never forget!
Love the pictures.
Well done to you all!
On a sad note, Logan's little dog, "Peak" was killed on the highway in front of our house the night we got back home...we all really miss him. He was a great tag along on the entire hunt.
Sorry to hear that. He looks like a teddy bear in that picture.
How's Max doing?
Sorry your family lost Peak. Sad way to end an awesome season.
Nothing like hunting with your sons. Congrats to you and your great boys.
Pat, looking into the eyes of your boys, I see you've done a great job as Dad. I'm sure each of them is as proud to be your son as you are to be their father. Congratulations to them, and to you. These pictures show what it's all about. Well done.
He's a good looking little guy.
Sorry for the loss.... Tough thing losing a good dog.
Wow, great job by all. This is what a REAL family looks like. Don't underestimate your blessings.
Wow, Pat...great post! Congrats to all of you, and sorry to hear about Peak.

Heck, Randy - I know a mid-40's yute that has the same dream.
Why am I not surprised? Congrats Pat on a job well done, and a fine looking bunch to boot. Really proud for you.
Good looking bunch of boys there, Pat & some great animals too.......not a dink in the lot.
Sorry for the loss of your dog.....always hurts.

Looks like an adventure Scenar. Well done!
That's not fair!!!!! They did better than I did....lol
Please tell the boys we are all proud of them and happy for their success....you are raising them boys right Pat.
Thanks for sharing in their adventures....
That's simply awesome!
Dink
Amazing job and photos! Great job Pat! You must be uber-proud! I'm sorry to hear of the lost of the pup. That stuff always hits hard.
Oreos and Ritz....that was classic too.
Well done! I long and hope for the day to live in a place with that variety of game to get my two boys started on. Congrats to all!
I'm guessing feeding those 3 means that the meat doesn't last quite as long as some folks suspect...
Methinks with little scenars coming into the ranks there might need to be additional walls built to handle all the additional bone.
Heck of a season! Great stuff minus losing the pup. Sorry to hear.
Simply awesome!!! Love to see the spirit of wolves in boys! Sorry to hear about the pup.
man i wish i had a season like that! congrats to your boys.
Talk about a bunch of red letter days.... You are definitely doing it right my friend !
Tell all three great job !
I saw your bow killed elk and now your young hunters too, wow.
How many freezers to handle that load?
Tremendous job all around, congratulations to every one.
I am absolutely jealous, and envious as well.
Cheers NC
I'd ask what you are going to do for an encore, but I know. ;-{>8
Best part though, is knowing how your boys are turning out and how desperately the world need them. Thanks.
Great job as always Pat, and thanks for sharing with the rest of us.
Sorry about your son's pup...........never easy.
+1; excellent work there sir!
The journey is short...Fathers: take time to enjoy every step of the way. It doesn't seem that long ago I was trailing my father, taking extra long strides to place my feet in his tracks..

So very true. My little guy is 3 (going on 7), and I'm trying my very best to capitalize on and enjoy every single minute as the gifts they are. There's no backing up the clock.
Personal concerns keep me from sharing photos, but I appreciate when other members do, and always look forward to the next ones.
Congrats to you and your boys!
Thanks for sharing.
Outstanding stuff, Pat. It's really good to see you and your sons together and creating such amazing memories hunting.
These are the times that help brothers become best friends forever.
Love the pics, especially the one with all of y'all.
Sorry about Peak...
DJ
Really nice pictures Pat...congratulations to the boys on good shooting and fine trophies. Sorry about the dog, tough way to lose a tag-a-long friend like that.
You've had quite the hunting this fall.
enjoyed the photos......time passes fast with the kids, just seems like yesterday my son was going on his first youth deer hunt.......he turns 21 next month and does not have much time for dad anymore
Way to go! What an awesome Fall.
That last pic of two brothers and two bucks is outstanding!
I absolutely agree.
Good family time here.
