Silly question, were those rams killed in New Mexico or Texas?
All Texas, All FREE RANGE.

Trying to get to a sheep. This is where freezing rain and then mud will get you when you try to get to close to a wash.

Awesome rams, badass country. Great pics TJ. Congrats !
Very nice rams! You still the man!
Well done.

That is a special kind of stuck you found.
Awesome! thanks for posting.
Hate being stuck like that!! Nice work on the rams, rio7
Awesome rams and great pictures!! Thanks for posting them.

Special congrats on your son's ram!! Give him an atta-boy from the 'Fire!

Any details on shot angle/bullet performance on his ram?

What bullet was the lady shooting in her .243?

If you're going to get stuck, you might as well get good and stuck! Bet it took a little west Texas ingenuity to get her out, but at least there was another pickup in sight!

Great post & pics, TJ!

Very Nice Rams and pics!
Excellent work at the way around there sir; LOVE your stories/pics!
Great pics!! I'm getting excited for my upcoming Aoudad hunt in late October. I love reading these threads. Thanks for sharing.

Great pictures, congrats to all. In looking at those rams, I can really see how hard they are to field-judge. Except for a couple of the really big ones they all look alike to me:) Interesting critters, be a fun hunt!

The lady was shooting factory soft points. My son was shooting 100 gr barnes triple shocks. The sheep was below us and leaving to go away. He shot him in the top of the back facing away. The bullet exited his lower chest. DRT. Then the ram spun around on the ground and was trying to get up, I had him shoot him again. He shot him straight on where the neck ties to the shoulder, shooting down. That exited in the lower side guts. I just caped his sheep on the ground, as I usually do with all of them. So I didnt get to see much of the inside damage. Just small holes in the hide.

Very nice 'dads, thanks for sharing. Really like the from behind pics. Shows the mass and character of the horns very well.

Nice rams and very cool country. Thanks for the pics.

And don't let anyone tell you that you can't stick a truck with the best of them.....
