I just got an e-mail that they have changed there no shipping fee policy to help lower some peoples prices. I guess you boys up in Alaska will have to once again mortgage the house in order to get your bullets!!
I will be curious to see how things come out in the wash on prices to GA.
Mike
------------------
God, Family, Country.

Rabid,
They NEVER paid our shipping. The freight was figured into the prices and we had to pay freight on top of that,to get goodies here. Needless to say, they didn't get much of our business.
Sometimes we all jungled up an order(20,000 "bulk" bullets or so)and had Midway send it to the barge for us. It didn't arrive very fast, but it was our only taste of a "deal". We then divvied up our goodies and split shipping.........

That sucks, but look what you get in return!! Flora and Fauna [Linked Image]
I always knew they had the shipping figured in the cost, but it always made me feel better to think I was getting a deal.
I bet the recent upcharge for fuel has changed a lot of companies outlook here lately.
Oh, well you can't take it with you!
Rabid
------------------
God, Family, Country.

When ordering a new reloader this spring, I compared Cabela's plus shipping, and Midway with "free" shipping. They were within $.50! What bothers me about the Cabela's plan is that you pay the same for shipping $10 worth of feathers as $10 worth of lead! It's based of purchase price rather than weight. What really bothers me about the new Midway plan is the $4 surcharge for orders under $40!I tend to buy a box or two of something on sell to experiment with, not a truck load at one time. I guess there's no reason to check out the sale page, as $4 added to small items will not make the purchase worth it. The question now is, where are we going to shop now that Midway dosen't want our business?
Doug

Agree with Teach. Lots of times I wanted to try out a box of something that wasn't carried localy. Midway was handy for one or two small items. I guess now that it is going to cost me four bucks plus shipping I don't want the item as much as I thought I did.
BCR

Probably more important to me (within reason, of course) is good service and availability of ordered items. I have pretty much stayed with Lock, Stock & Barrel for a while now. Their prices seem pretty good, they have ALWAYS had what I ordered in stock & everything arrives intact, properly packaged & undamaged. badger. www.lockstock.com
------------------
Gun control is good bullet placement.....
