NV's lack of open hunts and difficulty of drawing tags got me a great deal on a bunch of llama saddles some years ago. A guy near Reno had a string of pack llamas for hunting. After 5 years of not drawing a tag of any kind, he gave up on hunting in NV and decided to go with out of state guided hunts. He sold the llamas and put all the gear on Craigslist where I got it all for a song. I felt sorry for him but it was great for me.

Nevada is tough. I drew a depredation tag north of Ely. It will be weird to hunt the blackbrush in August but will be great to put an Elk in the freezer.

I got mine!

After years of waiting, an antlerless elk hunt 4181 in units 111 and 112, late (Dec 5 to Jan 15).

Anyone have the inside dope on that area?
