Interesting to note that when velocity is between 2000 ands 2300 the Power Point mirrors the Partition almost exactly. Good choice, great bullet all around.

My handloads have a MV of 2600 fps, so I sit pretty from 100 yards to 300 with this bullet.

I use Winchester Super X 30/06 180 grain "power point" for everything. I like them a lot. I stock up when Wally World has them on sale. I can't justify reloading when I can get them @$15 a box.

Loaded 64 grainers for a 223. They did fine on pigs.

I bring 6 boxes of silver boxed Walmart Win 30-06 180 gr. Power Points as a gift to my pH Zim buddy. He goes nuts over them. Best economy '06 there is. Guess they are hard to get over there.

That guy did a lot of work for sure. The power points really did do a nice job. Another pleasant surprise was the federal bullet. I also found interesting his comments regarding deeper penetration at slower velocities. Not so much that it occurred but 2x1 was more that I would have guessed. In reality penetration is somewhat of a mystery to me of the 50 or so deer I or my buddies have shot we have captured one bullet intact and a couple of blowups I.e. fragments but those were with pistol bullets in ML sabots.he sierra match bullets were also pretty surprising though it don't know what I was expecting.
